It's a swatching class, but not for a particular pattern. We will work through a series of stitches that demonstrate the different elements of Mosaic and then Mosaic & Lace so that you will have all of the tools you need in your arsenal. The class is appropriate for knitters who can read charts, are comfortable working lace, and can knit stripes. TWO CLASSES ARE FULL. SORRY.

TUESDAYS ARE FOR TATTING
1-3pm Start any Tuesday
Finally learn Shuttle tatting. It's just one stitch and easy to make beautiful edgings, household decorations, keepsakes and jewelry. The basic stitch can be a challenge, but I have taught 100s of people to do it! 3 lessons for $50, plus materials of approx $12: 2 shuttles and a ball of high quality cotton thread.

Crochet is a wonderful craft, easy to do, but a little bit of challenge to do it correctly and follow patterns. Let us help you. You will learn the basic stitches, and all the skills you need for a basic project. Bring a G or H size Hook and Worsted weight cotton yarn. Class is $40 when you purchase your supplies here.
ALL DAY FREE HELP WEDNESDAYS to learn new things. Wednesdays are Charity Day. We are starting off with Knitted Knockers and Monsters for Kids. You can come learn how to make them. Must already know how a little bit about how to knit or crochet and be comfortable learning new things. For the Knockers, we use Anne, or Cleo. For the Monsters, anything goes, and we even provide the yarn! Help us make a difference in these worthy projects. Help is free, you need to be willing to purchase yarn and supplies from time to time.
Every other Wednesday 11-12 or Saturday 4-5
Using ANY yarn & appropriate size needles (yes you can bring what you have), let's learn to read simple charts. Also, if you have an Ipad, come see what Knit Companion is all about. A 1-hour workshop every week for $10/session (or one block off your class pass).

6-8pm EVERY THURSDAY. Join us to enjoy each others company, tell a story, and visit with others who love to play with string. Bring your project and your drink or a snack to share.
KNITTING FOR BEGINNERS
Start any Friday or Saturday 10:30-11:30am FRIDAYS -or- 1-2 PM SATURDAYS
You will need: 1 BALL WORSTED & #8 SP NEEDLES if you are just starting out. If you know your basic K&P, come to this class to work on basic knitting skills and beginner projects.
SOCK KNITTING FOR BEGINNERSStart any Friday 1-2pm FOUR 1-hour sessions to Learn Basic Sock Knitting. Learn on 4/5 DPNs, using DK or Fingering Weight Yarn. $40/4 sessions. Some people can finish with 4 sessions, some need more, that is up to you.
MAGIC LOOP or CONTINENTAL KNITTING
3-4pm SATURDAYS MAGIC LOOP: learn how to use Magic Loop technique to knit anything in the round on one long circular needle. Bring #5 or 6 circular needle 40" in length, and ONE 50-gm ball of DK weight yarn. We will start a baby hat in class, pattern is FREE. If you don't need a baby hat, please donate to our baby hats charity project. This technique is also used to knit 2 socks at a time on one circular needle. This is a one hour class for $10, or one block off your class pass.
5-6pm TUESDAYS and Every other Saturday 4-5 CONTINENTAL KNITTING: If you already can Knit "American Style", with your yarn in the right hand, how about knitting 3x as fast? Continental Style, with the yarn in left hand is the way. Come for a refresher or learn how and kick your knitting into high gear. Come as many times as you need to to get the hang of it. $10 per session.
3-4pm FIRST SATURDAY each month
FREE! Bring your loom to the shop & we will share ideas and techniques. This is a get-together just for those who have already taken Beginning Weaving. Show & Tell and How'd They Do That? Maybe we will get WARPED. Join us!
11:30-1:30pm SATURDAYS JUNE 3, JUNE 17 -OR- JULY 1
Come and get started on your "Ladies Who Lunch" woven scarf. The kit is $32 and we will be learning how to warp our Cricket Looms in the "indirect" method, which is quite different from the Direct Warping we do in our Beginning Weaving class. Class fee is $20.
10am-1pm NEXT CLASS SATURDAY AUGUST 5th
Try before you buy! Rent one of our class looms to make a beautiful scarf. $84.20 includes supplies, your class fee and loom rental for 2 weeks. No previous skills are needed. In our 3-hour workshop, you will learn to warp your loom and start your weaving project to work on at home, then come back within two weeks to take it off the loom. It's ok to bring lunch or a snack and something to drink. If you decide to purchase your loom, we deduct your rental fee.
