LYSOs Meeting for Summit in Asheville: April 23 & 24, 2017!
Don't miss our 2nd Annual Summit for Local Yarn Shop Owners, to be held Sunday & Monday, the week after Easter, April 23 & 24, 2017, at the Four Points Sheraton in Asheville, NC. We are planning a two-day conference, with plenty of education and time to network with other forward-thinking LYS owners, to help you GROW YOUR BUSINESS.
These days, so many of our fellow Yarn Shops are going the way of the dinosaur, yet we all know it: people will always need us, IN REAL LIFE, not mail order, it's just that figuring out the way forward isn't easy. The shops that will stick around are going to have to be nimble and smart. (And all we wanted to do was knit all day and make $$$ at it!!).
Last August, we had a sell-out group for an All-Day Workshop, called Craft Your Marketing, with Tara Swiger from www.taraswiger.com, and we learned all the ins & outs of building our social meeting marketing plans. The only complaint I heard was, why can't we spend more time together?, and we want to learn MORE.
So, for our 2nd LYSO Summit, we will have Tara again, AND Gwen Bortner, of https://gwenbortner.com/ and the two of them will lead us on a two-day exploration of:

Please write to me if you would more information, or references from our last Summit. Yes, you can bring an employee, the fee is $200 per person. Your room(s) and travel are your own responsibility. Get in touch with me if you'd like a roommate...the (April) room rates are higher than they were in August, and I have already booked with a roomie to save $$.
UPDATE JAN 27: our meeting hotel is booked up solid. Another good option is the Hampton Inn on Tunnel Rd. I will personally shuttle people around (but please stay close by, ok?, this is that important to me. Uber-Heidi!
February 15 is the last date for a full refund if you need to cancel, if later, you can transfer your conference fee to someone else, an employee or friend. On Feb 22, there will be a cut-off date for signups. Then I will have to pay our speakers and the hotel meeting room fees, so no more changes after that, except for added attendees if space allows. If for some reason the event is cancelled, you will get a full refund.
